Founded in 2005 by the India Learning Foundation, Whitefield–Sarjapur is where the philosophy of Inventure moved beyond an idea and became a way of life.
Over two decades, what began as a passion project in learner-centred education has grown into a 37-acre ecosystem where learning is designed both to prepare students for traditional measures of success, and to help young people discover purpose, develop co-agency and grow into thoughtful contributors to society.
This is where progressive education proved that it could be rigorous, humane and enduring — year after year, cohort after cohort.

What Defines Learning Here
is our Classroom
Inquiry moves from classroom to outdoor space, from lab to field, from stage to community. The 37 acres aren’t simply a backdrop. They’re part of the curriculum. Yet some of the most meaningful learning happens beyond campus, where students engage with real people, real places, and real-world challenges. Because education isn’t preparation for the world. It happens in it.
Makerspaces, Design & Technology studios, science and robotics labs, The Hub’s arts and performance spaces, and competitive sports facilities. But what matters most is the ecosystem around them. Teachers, coaches, mentors, programmes, and opportunities that help students take an interest beyond participation and towards genuine pursuit.
A student might spend the morning mentoring peers through Youth Parliament, the afternoon building a prototype in the Makerspace, the next week preparing for the Changemaker Challenge, learning through community outreach or an internship, or rehearsing for the Annual Production. Academic rigour and everything else aren’t balanced here. They’re part of the same learning journey.

Facilities here are built to support learning as it evolves. They are used, adapted, revisited, and sometimes outgrown — because learning and experiences change over time.
The Learning Lab reflects Inventure’s commitment to ensuring every learner is supported to thrive. Led by a team of specialised educators, the Learning Lab provides targeted, multi-sensory, and individualised support, working closely with students, teachers, and families to strengthen academic skills, confidence, and self-awareness. The programme runs across Kindergarten, Primary, and Middle School, focusing on early identification, personalised learning plans, and inclusive classroom practices.
The Maker Space at Inventure is where students are free to explore, experiment, and build — without the pressure of getting it right. Grounded in the principle of ‘learn while you make’, it is a learner-driven space that values the process as much as the outcome. Students work on self-directed projects that reflect their personal interests, supported by just enough facilitation to keep curiosity alive. Beyond making things, the Maker Space helps students deconstruct assumptions, build new perspectives, and develop a deeper sense of who they are and what they care about.

Whitefield-Sarjapur has had over twenty years to build something rare: a school community where everyone belongs, everyone contributes, and everyone supports each other forward.
Students move between roles constantly, from the Changemaker Challenge to the Annual Production, from preparing for board examinations to working alongside community partners on projects that extend learning beyond the campus.
Inventuring builds a sense of belonging before the year begins. Outbounds build resilience. The Buddy System means no one navigates school alone. Houses, Student Council, Inventure Youth Parliament, internships, and Round Square exchanges provide opportunities to lead, collaborate, and engage with the wider world.
That spirit of participation extends beyond students. Teachers learn alongside one another through professional development and shared inquiry. School leaders remain closely connected to the classroom, teaching, mentoring, and engaging directly with students. Parents contribute as mentors, experts, and partners, while collaborations with universities, entrepreneurs, civic organisations, public institutions, and community schools bring authentic learning opportunities into everyday school life.
And at the end of every term, the Celebration of Learning makes every learner’s journey visible, through the projects, performances, reflections, and the growth that have shaped it.
This isn’t programming. It’s a community. Built deliberately, lived daily, and strengthened by students, educators, families, and alumni for over two decades.
Learning In This Space
Learners plan pathways with teachers, practise deliberately, and apply ideas across disciplines. Reflection is built in and feedback is expected. Excellence is treated as a journey, not a performance.
Across classrooms, laboratories, studios, the Makerspace, and wider-world experiences, students are encouraged to question, prototype, test ideas, seek feedback, and refine their thinking. Learning is active, connected, and iterative, helping students develop the confidence and capability to apply their learning in meaningful ways.
In Grades 11 and 12, the Success Mentor programme provides an additional layer of personalised guidance, helping students navigate goals, choices, and the transition beyond school.
Faculty & Mentorship
Many of our educators have been here for a decade or more. Some have watched students grow from Grade 1 to graduation. That kind of continuity isn’t incidental. It’s what allows meaningful relationships and mentorship to develop over time.
The educators who thrive here are curious, reflective, and deeply invested in how children learn. Through coaching, Inventure Learning Communities, Learning to Fly, leadership pathways, and over 18 calendar days of professional learning each year, they continue to refine their craft, collaborate with colleagues, and grow as educators.
